'Rivendell'  is the ideal Breton cottage for this year's holiday,  a retreat, a 'stepping stone' resting place as you tour around France, a rental property to live in while you seek out your own dream French residence and the perfect long-weekend location.  Whatever your reasons for staying at 'Rivendell' you won't be disappointed. 

Sleeping 4-6 (plus cot), this traditional Breton cottage is ideally situated in the stunning Cotes D'Armor countryside, between Megrit and Jugon-Les-Lacs.  Only 15 minutes to medieval Dinan, 45 minutes to St. Malo, 25 minutes to Dinard,  just under an hour away from Rennes, 30 minutes to the wonderful beaches of the Emerald Coast , Rivendell' is ideally placed for couples and families to access horse-riding, theme/waterparks, outdoor swimming pools, heritage trails and museums, cycling, golf, carting, river cruises, walking, birdwatching and many more activities.

The accommodation comprises:-

On the ground floor there is a comfortable kitchen/dining/living area with electric heating and a log burning 'cassette' - perfect for cosy autumn and winter lets.  There is a dining table and chairs and a well-equipped kitchen comprising a full sized gas cooker, microwave, fridge, electric kettle, coffee machine and toaster. The perfect little kitchen to enjoy making meals from the fantastic fresh produce you'll find at the local markets.

 

The living area comprises a sofa and armchair to sit and relax while listening to CDs on the CD/radio player or watch the many English language videos available for adults and children's entertainment.  There is also a wide selection of books/maps/guidebooks and magazines to read whilst enjoying some well-earned relaxation.

 

The first floor comprises a double bedroom with an additional foldaway bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet (containing a hairdryer) and a bathroom comprising a WC, wash hand-basin, shower and washing machine.

A wooden spiral staircase leads to the second double bedroom above with hanging rail, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets.

Outside this charming cottage is a gravelled drive offering plenty of parking, a patio table and chairs outside the front of the property and a lovely private garden soley for guests' use.  Here you will find two white plastic sunloungers and a garden bench to enjoy this pleasant sun trap.

A welcome pack will be provided for guests in advance.

All bedding is provided (pillows and duvets).  Linen Service is available at a small extra charge

Locally, there are many good restaurants to visit and during the summer community events such as fleamarkets, folk music evenings outside in Jugon-Les-Lacs village centre, sporting activity schemes for all the family and sporting events on the coast mean that you can join in with local French people and experience the real Brittany.
