Things to do

Kintail Walks

The area is famed the world over for its mountain challenges, from the endurance test of the Five Sisters of Kintail to the pinnacle perils of the Cuillin Ridge.   Climbers, walkers and scramblers can embark on terrain offering every possible degree of difficulty or simply take on a coastal adventure on some of the highest sea cliffs in the British Isles.

Skye and Lochalsh also offers seaborne activities in a world class marine environment, to suit all levels of experience whether sailing, diving or kayaking.  Escape everyday life or pursue a personal challenge, diving below waves or skimming atop them.  There are opportunities to explore miles and miles of exceptional coast, plummeting sea cliffs, stacks, caves and natural arches and discover tiny beaches accessible only from sea.

If cycling is your sport, the many back roads offer exhilarating and exhausting days, whilst the fisherman can hone his skills in some of the fastest flowing rivers in Scotland, or charter a day boat and tackle some sea angling.

Riding centres offer everything from advanced instruction to trekking the hills, and even specialist sports such as archery are catered for in Skye and Lochalsh where the Great Outdoors is unforgettable.
