Welcome to 'An Acarsaid'

An Acarsaid has been a family home for almost 60 years. It remains in the MacInnes family since it became available for letting in 2010. Duncan MacInnes lives in another house 8 miles away and Neil is a frequent visitor from his home in Drumnadrochit

We can say quite categorically that An Acarsaid has the best view of the Cuillin Hills on Skye and one of the best views in the Hebrides!

The house sleeps 8 people in four bedrooms: a downstairs double/twin with a bathroom; and a double downstairs and two twins upstairs, sharing the second downstairs bathroom.

There is extensive living space, with a dining room, sunroom and large sitting room, all with views over the bay. Another entrance hall and sunroom overlook the flower garden.

The well-equipped kitchen also has good views. There is a laundry room and lots of hall-space. Apart from the two upstairs berooms, all rooms are on the ground floor.

The house was built in 1959 and remains very much of a period, with original furniture and fittings. It is still obviously a family house filled with books, paintings and objects. Please do not expect a 21st Century house!

We offer the house to guests on an informal basis to fit around use by family, relatives and friends.
