Self catering holiday cottage

Our holiday accomodation is ideally situated on the seafront in Cromarty, 22 miles from Inverness with stunning views over the Cromarty Firth. This is a quiet historic village – ideal for chilling out but there is plenty to do too. The house has been totally refurbished recently.  It has 3 bedrooms,  living room, kitchen, dining room, shower room, bathroom and sleeps 6 people.

Places to eat 

There are some good eating places in Cromarty and also in the nearby villages. In Cromarty there is the Royal Marine Hotel, The Cromarty Arms, The Pantry, Coupers Creek and there is also a restaurant called ‘Sutors Creek’ which has a traditional, wood fired oven and serves pizzas and a specials menu throughout most days and evenings. It is very popular and it is better to book a table.

Our favourite place for a coffee is the Emporium book shop which is so much more than a bookshop! It has some tables at the back of the shop – the coffee is fabulous and the people running it are very friendly, chatty and helpful.

Things to do and see

Beaches in Cromarty and the neighbouring village of Rosemarkie are great for the kids.  You can take a boat trip from Cromarty to go Dolphin watching or drive 10 minutes to Chanonry Point where the Dolphins are often seen.

If you fancy going mountain biking then head to The Red Rock trails at Learnie: 16km of trails for all skill levels, combined with some of the best views from any mountain bike trails, anywhere!
