Spring visit, abundant with bird life

Glorious spring visit with yellow everywhere from the daffodils and gorse in full bloom.  Plenty of bird-life in the bay: our usual oyster catchers, cormorant, heron, eider, greylag geese, herring gull, black-backed gulls and buzzards, plus greenshank, curlew, collared dove, red-breasted merganser and turnstones and raven and hooded crow along towards the point.  Some twite came to visit on the balcony and as usual the mallards have waddled across the lawn for their feed.

Nice walk along the beach at Lower Breakish where we also saw Goldeneye, Wigeon and Great Norther Diver.

Beautiful snow fall last nights frosting all the highest peaks with a layer of white snow - beautiful in the sun!

Fantastic sighting of a soaring Golden Eagle en-route to the Raasay ferry, and on Raasay Red Grouse, Stonechat, Black-throated Divers and more Turnstone.
