Bayview Cottage, Cronarty
A very comfortable holiday house on the seafront of Cromarty with the beach on the doorstep and a park nearby for the children. The owner was extremely helpful with all my queries as we had a wheelchair user in our party. I felt very confident the access would be fine and it was. Lovely views from the front of the house over the Cromarty Firth with inquisitive seals popping up, and from the dining room at the back we watched a red kite flying above the trees at breakfast time. Lots to do in Cromarty with many historic buildings, lots of walks, a nice selection of shops including a pottery and dolphin trips in the firth from the harbour. Nearby is Udale Bay RSPB Reserve, Poyntzfield Herb Nursery and Chanonry Point where, from the beach, you can get quite close-up views of dolphins. Further afield there are so many other attractions we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

28 Bayview Crescent
I've just spent a wonderful week at no. 28. I like my home comforts and whilst it may not be home it was certainly comfortable and much more.
The house has obviously been recently renovated and finished to a high standard. The rooms are all functional and tastefully fitted out with the bonus of the rooms at the front of the house having a wonderful view out over the Cromarty Firth and the hills beyond. A further bonus is the deck which adjoins the diner/lounge. A suntrap from sunrise to sunset, this was well used during my weeks visit.
Other reviews have covered the local area and I think the only thing missing was a mention of how friendly the locals are. Be prepared for most to wish you a good day or be ready to discuss the weather.
I will be back.

Bayview
This house was perfect for our family holiday with our two small children and our two wee dogs. It was well equipped for our needs with stair gates, high chair and cot etc. There was also a crate for our dogs to use. The beach is right across the road from the house which the kids thought was brilliant. There is also a wee play park behind the house (you can see it from the bedroom window!) which was suitable for most ages. The shops, post office and wee tourist shops were all walking distance from the house. The village is peaceful and the view from the house itself is stunning.
We went to nearby Rosemarkie one day and went on a walk down Fairy Glen which I would recommend too, it was really beautiful, we didn't see any Fairies but the waterfalls made up for that! We spent a few days exploring nearby villages and sights, Clootie Well being another favourite!
Inverness was not far either, it took us about half an hour in the car, there is a good selection of shops there and we also went to the cinema.
We would definitely rent this property again and would recommend it.
