Where is it? 

 You will find us in the Assynt Area of North West Scotland. Assynt is part of the North West Geopark and is famous for its landscape. It is ideal as a base for many outdoor activities such as cycling, hill walking, fishing, or climbing some of the iconic mountains such as Suilven, Stac Pollaidh, Canisp or Quinag which are all close by. The sandy beaches of Achmelvich, Clashnessie and Clachtoll are all within a short drive away and kayaking and coastal / fishing trips are available in the area.   Nearby is the village of Lochinver, with its harbour and a variety of fishing and pleasure boats coming and going. Local facilities including a pottery, craft shops, pub/  licensed restaurants with wide ranging menus including local seafood specialisty dishes as available.

The croft house is in a secluded rural crofting setting in the small hamlet of Badnaban, one and half miles south of the village of Lochinver.This is on the NC500 route with easy access to North and East Coast on day trips. Daily ferries from Ullapool to Stornoway might be of interest too. 

About the house:

The accommodation includes a living room that is comfortably furnished with patio doors leading out to a small decking area. There is also a cosy family/ dining room which seats four people.
The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob + oven; combi - microwave, dishwasher; washing machine, fridge freezer and breakfast bar.
There are two comfortable bedrooms, a double room and a twin room. All Bedlinen is provided and towels, if wished. The bathroom has a full size bath with a separate electric shower.
Outside, a patio area with table and individual chairs  give you the chance to enjoy sitting or eating out in the fresh, clear Highland air, watching the deer graze nearby!    A small decking area at the rear also catches the morning / evening sun!

Prices range from

£450pw -March/ April; Sept/Oct/Nov 

 £550pw for May-mid August. Discounts for more than one week booked.

Oil central heating, electricity,Wi-Fi  and a Smart TV are included. 

When can I stay?

Minimum stay is 3 nights; weekly lets are usually from Sat to Sat. mostly through the summer season and negotiable through the rest of the year.

Can I bring a pet?

We accommodate pets on application - the house is on a croft and there may be sheep or deer nearby so leads are essential outwith the garden grounds.

Please note that we operate a No Smoking policy.
