Endless wood supply, beautiful and cosy,it excceeded all our expectations and we were in need of nothing Slainte

Once again a fantastic time was had on Eigg. We stayed 4 nights at Sandavore bothy this time (our second visit). Terrific weather meant we got lots of walking done and we were able to eat our meals at the picnic table - with amazing views! We both love the peace and quiet at Sandavore and it's handy to have the cafe and shop just a short walk away. We were amused when we came back one day to find a herd of cows had surrounded the place. Fortunately they seemed pretty chilled out, just like the rest of the island. We hope to be back soon!

Our second visit to the wonderful Sandavore bothy will not be our last. It is perfect! My dog thought she was in heaven and I know I was. The bothy had everything I needed - including bandages for when I cracked my head on the privvy door! The neighbours (cows, buzzards and hen harriers) were lovely to watch. As I said - perfect!

I can see why my mum has fallen so much in love with this place...

She kindly brought me here for my 24th birthday and we all had such an amazing time! The bothy is extremely comfortable and is in the most perfect position. There was nothing quite like sitting outside with a glass of wine, or to eat breakfast.

The bothy is extremely well equipped and I was very surprised at just how comfortable it is. I will most certainly be bringing my soon to be husband back so he can understand why I have fallen in love with this bothy and the island so much!
