Eating places in Kintyre
MACHRIHANISH DUNES GOLF HOUSE is a must as you walk past it to go or return from the beach. Homemade soups and sandwiches, drinks and biscuits. Open to all with a very friendly atmosphere.
Opening in 2012 is the MACHRIHANISH DUNES HOTEL overlooking the harbour in Campbeltown and in Machrihanish village there is the pub beside the golf house.
Ardshiel Hotel with its outside enclosed garden at the rear is a short walk from the tourist office where you will get a list of all choices of eating in Campbeltown.
SOUTHEND HAS MUNELROY tearoom with homemade soups, bread baking and a large choice of main meals and a local lady to tell you all you wish to know about Southend.
CARRADALE has an excellent tearoom as you enter and beside a small museum. There is also a hotel.
GLENBARR NURSERY AND STORE has a hidden tearoom at the back of the building which is well worth a stop.
ARGYLL HOTEL at Bellochantuy has a fine reputation and is a 10 minute drive from the house
GIGHA a 30 minute drive and 20 minute sail has a choice of tearooms and hotel and all are very good
